He has worked with some of the best Fortune 500 companies across the world. After completing engineering from IIT – Delhi and he went on to do an MBA from prestigious IIM – Kolkata. He has utilized the knowledge he gained from these world-class institutions to create an illustrious career that spans over three decades in retail. He started his career with P&G and he was at the helm when Ariel detergent powder was successfully launched in India. He also handled many campaigns across South Asia in Sri Lanka, Thailand and Mauritius. He has worked with Yum! Brand as Chief Marketing Officer. His instrumental contribution to the reintroduction of KFC in India is one of the most talked-about success stories. He has also played a crucial part in the launch of brands such as Pizza Hut, Tacobel and A&W in South Asia.
Mr Mediratta also had an amazing stint with Walmart US. He spent almost a decade with them holding many prestigious positions like Global Officer and Vice-President (Operations) Texas and Global Officer and VP Merchandising. He was the brain behind the successful launch of WalMart’s Cash and Carry business in India. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Walmart India when they went on to add 20 wholesale outlets in a short span of 5 years in India. He was appreciated not only in India but across the globe for scripting the success story of Walmart in India.

In 2006, he was rated among the “Top 25 Hottest young executives in India” by Business Today. The Economic Times proclaimed him among the Top 8 marketers of India in 2003. He was also found to be among “50 most powerful people in media, advertising and marketing” during a survey by PITCH in 2004. He is a lively person who loves travelling and binge-watching shows. He enjoys watching movies and loves Thai cuisine. He is also a fitness enthusiast and goes to the gym around 4 times a week.
